Black Thursday

Black Thursday refers to the day of October twenty forth in 1929. In the summer of 1929, American had well development of economy. Everyone in the street liked to talk about nothing except for the stone market, and the minister of finance even gave the promise that this kind of prosperity would be continued. However, on the day of October twenty forth, something unfortunate hit all the Americans. Because the stock quotes declined dramatically, and from then on, the economy of America got into sluggish. And this event not only influenced the whole world, but became an unprecedented and the most serious economic crisis. And after Roosevelt took the president place, he enforced NewDeal policy in order to revive the depression. The policy included three R, recover, relief and reform. And until 1939, Roosevelt’s newdeal policy eventually got succeeds. However, all the Americans can never forget this important event. Therefore, now the “black Thursday” is used to refer to the break of stocks.

After reading this article, I was inspired by the importance of environmental protection, which is a controversial topic all over the world.
First of all, I agree with the author’s point of view about respecting for the environment. After human being’s destruction for decades, the natural environment has become completely weak. Thus, nowadays more and more people tend to advocate the environmental protection and more and more substitute energy are overwhelmingly required. For example, the solar energy can reduce the air pollution as well as preventing the shortage of oil. Besides, recycling is another crucial point of environmental protection. Garbage cans now have more diversity to classify. All above these are to solve the problem of overuse of the resource.
Secondly, if people don’t prevent environment form destruction now, we were unable to pass a good environment to our next generations. Moreover, they will not only have to protect the weak earth, but to undertake the influence of the destruction of nature. Worst of all, they will have to find out more and more resources to replace the limit ones.
Human beings and environment should find a balance between their two, because they are closely related. Environment should not yield to our human beings, and on the contrast, people should respect the environment, like what the author said. It also implies that if we are continuously unconscious about the importance, maybe the natural environment will give the human beings a heavily strike some day, and our offspring will suffer from it.

“The Gone With The Wind”

After watching this movie, I was impressed by the characteristic of Scarlett, who was a beautiful, clever and had highly self-confidence. Her beauty charmed everyone, no matter men and women. However, though being arrogance, she had fully passion to her life. Her smile seems to imply that everything will be fine, until the end of the movie; she still believes “After all, tomorrow is another day”. And during the wartime, she lowered her statue to help those injured people, besides, she promised to escort Melanie to homeland, and it means every thing is not certainly good; she faced them with her love and passion.
In her love world, Ashley never fell in love with Scartte, and refused her love several times. And while Rhett’s pursue, Scartte have already devoted all her love to Ashley, and had no attention to Rhett. Fortunately, she found out that Rhett is her really true love, but everything is too late, she had broken Rhett’s heart. Scartte’s destiny was so sorrowful that in the end of the movie, she was lonely and worthy of pity. If she can cherish her true love earlier, she would not lose Rhett as well as her happiness.
